A message from the founder of the New Eve Centre
Hello & Welcome!
Did you know that in the UK alone, 1 in 7 couples struggle to conceive (NHS, 2023) and 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss (Tommys, 2023)? Perhaps even more disturbing is that black women are 3.7% times more likely to die during and soon after pregnancy (MBBRACE-UK 2020) and also experience the highest percentage of pre-term & stillbirths (ONS, 2021).
Motherhood is a natural, God-given process but it is often riddled with challenges & difficulty. Personally, I know first-hand what that’s like, having lost a pregnancy in a stillbirth.
The New Eve Centre is a Catholic Christian organisation aims to reduce the health disparities in maternal health that affect Black African women. We do this by supporting them for conception and through different stages of motherhood with the New Eve Method®.
This is why we have New Eve AFRICA – an online membership programme that allows Black African women from around the world to access natural fertility courses & support for conception, pregnancy & motherhood at significantly low cost.
We take a holistic approach to motherhood and so in addition to our fertility education, we also offer spiritual & socio-economic education through our courses and events.
Even though our primary focus is supporting Black African women, you don’t have to be Black Africa to get some support. Women from all backgrounds can also access our courses & programmes through our library & shop pages.

The New Eve Method®
Our work is based on the New Eve Method® – a natural human ecology model designed to support women for motherhood in a way that aligns with how they were created.
The model was created by Bridget Alabi and is a product of her extensive research on the human ecology model of disease/health as a social scientist, her experience of working with countless women as a holistic fertility therapist and her studies in theology.
The New Eve Method® consists of 5 key factors; Union, Confidence, Diet, Rhythm and Influence.
It recognises that, like many health issues, there are several determinants of menstrual health & maternal well-being. These include economic & social environments, behaviour, genetic factors as well as the existence of health inequalities.

It is God who calls us to Motherhood
Motherhood is a Divine calling through which women find holiness and make a difference in their families & societies.
Natural Fertility First
Menstrual & fertility support should be natural in the first instance because it has little or no side effects, empowers women to take charge of their health, is usually more affordable and is in alignment with natural law i.e. the way our bodies have been designed and the way they function.
The Commandment of Love
“A new commandment I give you, that you love one another as I have loved you” (Jn 13:34). Our work is done out of love i.e. we always ‘will the good of the other’. We aim to show God’s love by supporting women to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves.
